Education In The Milwaukee Sail and Power Squadron
Our department's primary purpose is boating education, Instructors are volunteer are members of the squadron who donate their time to help you improve your boating knowledge. New instructors are always welcome. If you are a member and would like to help teach, volunteer your services to one of the class chairs or contact the Squadron Education Officer. If you are a member, be sure and take advantage of all the classes the squadrons has to offer.

Born After January 1st 1989?
Wisconsin statutes require that any person born after January 1st 1989 must have successfully complete a boating safety course in order to operate a boat or personnel water craft.
Boating Safety Class
The Milwaukee Sail and Power Squadron offers Boating Safety Classes to the public may times during the year. This basic class introduces students to the many aspects of boating and the very basic knowledge required to safely operate a boat. Graduation from this minimum 8 hour class meets the MINIMUM requirement under Wisconsin Statutes to operate a motorboat. The class is taught in various forms under the direction of a certified instructor. See the list on the right for the latest class listing.
